Project- Minimizing the GBV in Janakpur Municipality with alternative livelihood Trainings. (2023)

Main goal– Women Empowerment ;  Theme– Gender Based Violence   Beneficiary– 120 Females

The recent project was funded by Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Kathmandu. Under this project, 4 types of training were conducted for females of Janakpur Municipality. Namely, Doll Making, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, and Sewing were conducted and each had 30 participants. They were made aware about different types of gender-based violence prevalent in the society along with the prevalent laws to tackle that. After that awareness session, training session were conducted. So altogether, 120 females were direct beneficiary while they provided services to 26 wards for more than 10000 public. Out of 120 trained individuals, half of them is solely running their enterprise.

 

Off Season Vegetable Farming in Dhanusha District

Main goal– Alternative livelihood Trainings ;  Theme– Income generation   Beneficiary– 120 Males & Females

This project was funded by Youth Self Employment Fund, Kathmandu. About 120 youth (20-40 age group) was trained with off season vegetable farming in 4 VDCs of Dhanusha district namely Pushpwalpur, Mahendranagar, Kajra Ramaul and Ichhapur. 30 days session of classes along with on-spot practical were done at the training center. At a stage they were linked up with the local financial institutions which helped them in gaining financial services. Looking long after those farmers youths today, they have turned themselves into entrepreneurs of agricultural products. They are capable of handful earning and great achievement.

Safe foreign employment Fund Project

Funded by Foreign Employment Board, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security  वैदेशिक रोजगार बोर्डको सचिवालय

Main goal– Alternative livelihood Trainings ;  Theme– Income generation   Beneficiary– 120 Males & Females

This project was funded by Foreign Employment Board Secretariate which function under Government of Nepal Ministry of Labor Employment and Social Security. Within this project, more than 80 foreign returned migrants’ workers and members of other foreign migrants’ workers families were trained to make soap and detergent to live their life. Out of the trainee participants, 10 families were such who lost their bread winner in foreign soil who went there to support their family. They were trained to make soap, and detergent using local materials. Also seed money was provided to them to establish themselves as entrepreneur.

Project- Living With Giants: Phase 1 Addressing the prequels of elephant conservation in Central Nepal.

Nepal Biodiversity Research And Conservation Centre – Saving Biodiversity

Main goal– Biodiversity Conservation ;  Theme– Wildlife Conservation  Beneficiary– Elephant and Communities Sharing Spaces.

The project was funded by Mithila Wildlife Trust and Nepal Biodiversity Research and Conservation Centre. Under this combined effort, a group of 12 members elephant trackers were employed to survey the adjoining forest in Dhanusha district for the signs of elephants. Few of them found dung piles, foot prints.  Few workshops were conducted to make the communities aware of ways to avoid elephant in the wild.
