About Us
Community Service Committee Dhanusha (CSCD)
is a non-profit non-governmental organization. This organization came in effect on Feb 4, 2004 in Dhanusha District of Nepal which is run by like minded people whose aim is to do social service and help the society by working collaboratively with communities to achieve success in women empowerment, livelihood opportunities, climate change, youth self employment, biodiversity conservation and many more.
Vision
The vision of CSCD is to create a advancing society where all the stakeholders are included and dignified. The work of CSCD is targeted to improving the living standard and empowerment of Marginalized Community, men-women, girls, dalits, youth, poor, janjatis, unemployed ones, underrepresented societies and many more. This NGO envisions to see their fellow community leading a quality of life.
Our activities and efforts are representatives of below listed goals:
- Women Empowerment
- Conduct various health check-up camps, awareness workshops like sanitation.
- Conduct various income generation training for females.
- Alternative Livelihood Opportunities or Income Generation Activities
- Foreign return migrant workers
- Marginalized, Underprivileged and Socially Oppressed Communities
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Forest and Soil Conservation Program- Plantation Campaigns; Orchards Creation, Nursery Development etc.
- Research on effects of climate change on biodiversity
- Income generation training activities for communities living with the wildlife
- Abolition of various social transgressions
- Address various social transgressions in the society and run different projects to eradicate them like child marriage, poly marriage, gender-based discrimination and caste-based discrimination.
